The Women's Cross-Country team is back on top!
The Women's Cross-Country team is back on top! For the first time since 2016, the Lady Vaqueros are State Champions. They scored a total 66 points, beating out Saddleback College who scored a total of 113 points. This time they were led by Jamie Levin who would come in 8th place with a time of 18:51.7. Phoebe Forsyth would follow Levin in 10th place with a time of 18:53.9. They were followed by Yajaira Calderon who would take 11th in a time of 18:57.8, Bianca Biel who took 15th in a time of 19:13.4, and Lydia Forsyth who would take 26th in a time of 19:44.3 to round out the scoring runners. The final two runners in the race would be Eileen Silva who took 66th in a time of 20:28.4 and Jasmine Corralejo who took 76th in a time of 20:40.4. Next season looks good for the women with 4 of the top 5, and 5 of the top 7 runners returning.
