Citrus College scored first but couldn't hold off two strong quarters from Glendale College Saturday afternoon, dropping a 56-34 loss at home.
The Owls slip to 8-18 on the year and 4-8 in Western State Conference-South action. The Vaqueros improve to 21-5 overall and hold onto their top spot in the conference with an 11-1 mark.
Giselle Garcia-Nunez led the Owls with 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for her 14th double-double of the year. Reanne Reola chipped in eight points, while Felicity Mendoza added six points. Joceline Escamilla grabbed eight boards for Citrus.
The Owls look to close out the season strong with their final home game of the year on Wednesday against Antelope Valley College, tipping off at 5 p.m.
