A Message from Interim Associate Dean of Athletics Chris Cicuto........

     It is my pleasure to announce that Alex Kocol has been hired as the Interim Head Baseball Coach for the 2018-2019 academic year. Alex has served as our Associate Head Coach since 2011. In addition to coaching baseball and teaching in the Kinesiology Division, Alex has been an Adjunct Instructor of History and Political Science in our Social Sciences division as well. Prior to coaching at Glendale College, Alex coached at Harvard-Westlake High School from 2007-2010. Coach Kocol had his first opportunity as a head coach in 2006 at his alma mater University High School where he guided the Wildcats to a 16-12-1 record and an appearance in the L.A. City Section DI Championship playoffs. From 2002-2005 Alex served as an undergraduate assistant at UCLA under Coach Adams and Coach Savage. Alex holds BA degrees in Philosophy and History from UCLA and an MA in History from CSUN.

     For eight years Alex has been a invaluable assistant coach and I am extremely excited for his new opportunity to lead the Vaqueros in the 18/19 campaign.
