Samer Naser scores 24 off the bench in 84-61 victory

Sophomore Samer Naser scored 24 points off the bench to pace the GCC Men's Basketball Team to an 84-61 win over West Hills Lemoore College Tuesday in the Compton College Tournament. Glendale improved to 4-8 with the win.

In just 17 minutes of play, Naser hit on nine of 12 shots from the field and five of eight from three point territory. Five Vaqs players scored in double figures including Isaac Etter with 14, Steven Hubbell with 12, Aaron Patterson with 11 and Tevan Khudatyan with 10. Alzaber Angalo led the team with 190 rebounds and Eric Ting had six assists.

Glendale shot 50 percent from the three point line hitting 12 of 24 and shot 58 percent from the field overall for the game. Glendale led 54-21 at the half and plays L.A. Pierce Ciollege in a tournament game Wednesday Dec. 194:30 pm.
