In order to squeak out a 98-92 victor over visiting Antelope Valley Saturday in the Verdugo Gym, it took an almost herculean effort to for the Vaqueros to get the win. The game was tied at the half at 33 all, at the end of regulation at 74 all and at the end of the first five minute overtime at 85 all. It took GCC the last five minutes of the second overtime to outscore the visitors 13-7  to get the victory.

In all, 12 players scored in double figures with seven hitting the mark for the Vaqueros and both teams lost players who had fouled out. But in the end it was GCC who wrestled the advantage back from AV early in the second overtime after leading for most of the game with 2:45 left on two free throws Andre Banton to give GCC an 88-89 lead that they would not relinquish.

AV had some big moments including Jalon Tinnin hitting a near half court shot to tie the game at 33 at the half and Surako Follings Jr. hit a three pointer deep in the corner to send the game into overtime.  Isaac Etter led all scorers with 24 points and Banton added 23 points including some clutch free throws down the stretch and had a team high 10 rebounds. Eric Tong added 15 for GCC, Steven Hubbell added 12 and Trej'Floyd and Andre Zohrabian had 10 each. Banton also had five assists.
