Women's Basketball streaks to 16-4 record with 78-54 win over Victor Valley

A wire to wire win for the Glendale College Women's Basketball team Wednesday was the fifth straight for the Lady Vaqs, 78-54 at Victor Valley as they improved to 5-0 in the WSC East and 16-4 overall.  GCC is ranked No. 11 in Southern California in the latest CCCAA poll.

Glendale took control of the game early as they led 16-13 after first quarter And 33-25 at the half. The Lady Vaqs scored 45 points in the second half to win handily as four GCC players as Cheyenne Jankulovski led the team with 13 points and Tess Oakley-Stilson, Marlen Salazar and Gloria Bianchi all had 12 points each.

The Lady Vaqs end the first round of WSC East play Saturday Feb. 2 as they host L.A. Valley at 5 pm in the Verdugo Gym.
