GCC vs. El Camino College
With the last match of the season, the Lady Vaqueros were faced with not having #4 singles, Sabrina Subero in the line up. Early this morning, Subero was rushed to urgent care because of stomach pains. The pain was unbearable at times and the doctor sidelined Subero for the day while they conducted tests. "She's being monitored, but we're all glad she's doing better now," said Coach Sy.
With the help of Ruth Kachatorian and Maria Villegas, the Lady Vaqueros were able to deliver an 8 - 1 match victory. Kachatorian teamed up with Webb to win 9-7 at #2 doubles, while Moradian and Villegas teamed up at #3 doubles to win 8-2. This brings the total match win streak to 19.
The Lady Vaqueros will be playing their conference tournament this Friday, 4/6 at 10am at Ventura College.
The regional playoff meeting will be held on 4/8 to determine Glendale's seed in the playoffs, as well as who they will be playing against on 4/8 at 2pm at Glendale College.
