GCC Assistant Women's Tennis Coach Bob Donaghy honored at WSC Tournament April 1

Congratulations to GCC Women's Assistant Tennis Coach Bob Donaghy who was honored at the Men and Women's Western State Tournament Friday April 1 for his over four decades of coaching at Glendale Community College.

• Bob was the GCC Head Men's Tennis Coach from 1978-2002 and Head Women's Tennis Coach from 2009-2013
• He was a combined 265-198 for both teams and won 235 of those matches in almost 25 years as Men's Coach
• Coach Donaghy's Men's teams won WSC Titles in 1999, 2000 and 2002
• He was named state Coach of the Year in 2001
• Bob has assisted his former player Deo Sy, current Head Women's Tennis Coach for the past nine years and Head Men's Tennis Coach Chris Tissot is a former player of his as well
