    October 24, 2022
Lady Vaqs play inspired Volleyball to beat Antelope Valley and support Dig Pink Foundation On an inspiring night focused on the big picture of saving lives, the Glendale College Women's Volleyball Team used that motivation to play one its best matches of the year against visiting Antelope College Oct. 21 in the Verdugo Gym. The 25-18, 25-23, 25-17 victory for the Lady Vaqs made it a cleans sweep in home and away matches against the Marauders this year and was a total team effort as Bianca Hudson had 10 kills with no hitting errors, four blocks and two service aces to pace the offense. Esmeralda Ramirez had 24 assists and two aces and Ako Aso had 14 digs and two aces. "Not sure how my team feels but I have known so many women who have had breast cancer who have survived and what the support means to them,'' said head coach Yvette Ybarra about supporting finding a cure with her team for the past nine years. "With continued monetary support research can give hope to women all over and their families.'' Glendale continues Western State Conference play at Citrus College Wednesday Oct. 26 and at home against Bakersfield College at home Friday Oct. 28. Both matches start at 6 pm
