Knights Earn A Split vs. Glendale
The Knights played their second home doubleheader on Wednesday and earned a split against Glendale. The Knights dropped the first game, 10-4, but responded with a 10-6 victory in the second game as they improved to 2-5 on the season.

San Diego City held a 4-3 lead through five innings in the first game, but Glendale put up four runs in the sixth inning and another three runs in the seventh inning to win, 10-4.
Glendale scored two runs in the first inning of the second game of the day, but City got one back in the bottom of the first on an RBI triple from Ariana Hencke.
The Knights then exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the third to take an 8-2 lead. Anahy Carbajal came home on a throwing error for the first City run of that inning.
That was followed by RBI singles from Hencke and Kaylani Cook to make it 4-3 City. Pitcher Sophia Moran helped her own cause by getting an RBI off a ground ball to make it 5-3.
Lenny Padilla's ground out led to Cook scoring on an error and then Jordan Limtiaco belted a an RBI triple to put the Knights ahead, 7-3. Finally, Limtiaco scored the seventh run of the innin by crossing home plate after a wild pitch.
The Knights eventually went ahead, 10-3, after the fifth inning, but Glendale tried to rally back. They got within 10-6 after scoring a pair of runs in the top of the seventh, but the Vaqueros ran out of time as game was called due to darkness.
Moran earned the win in the circle after allowing three earned runs with two strikeouts in 7.1 innings.
