Alex Mills and Hans Seo homer; GCC beats West L.A. 23-2 March 7
With two swings of the bat, Alex Mills and Hans Seo hit home runs that gave the Glendale College Baseball Team a lead they would never surrender in its 23-2 win over West Los Angeles College Tuesday in the WSC opener for both teams Tuesday March 8 at Stengel Field.
Mills hit a Grand Slam in the first inning and Seo hot a three-run shot in the fourth to increase GCC's lead to 10-0 with both players driving in a combined nine runs and having two hits each. Adrian Gonzales led Glendale's hit parade with four hits and five RBI that included a double and a triple. Joey Craig and Isaiah Velazco had two hits each with Velazco hitting a double and driving home three runs.
Glendale continues the three-game opening conference series against West L.A. Thursday March 10 at 2 pm at Stengel Field. They play at West L.A. Saturday March 12 at 1 pm.
