GCC Baseball sets school record in runs scored in 32-3 win over Antelope Valley College March 12
The GCC Baseball team set a school record in runs scored in a 32-3 win over Antelope Valley College on the road March 12 in a WSC South contest. Glendale is now 11-9 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
 
Sophomore Izzy Madariaga helped pace the offense with four hits, four runs scored and four RBI including a three-run homer in the fifth inning. Alex Dolan had two doubles among his five hits on the day and drove in five runs and scored twice. Ethan Pena had three hits and Andrew Cisneros added two hits as GCC had 23 hits and drove in 27 runs in the game. Starting pitcher Dylan Goodrich pitched four innings and struck out eight and Daniel Neria earned his second win in relief with four innings pitched, striking out five and allowing just three hits. Matthew Bender pitched a scoreless ninth inning and struck out two. 
 
Glendale continues the series against Antelope Valley with a 2:30 pm home game Thursday March 14 at Stengel Field and play at Antelope Valley Saturday March 16 at 1 pm.
