Men's Basketball beats Rio Hondo 76-68 for its second straight win
The GCC Men's Basketball beat Rio Hondo 76-68 for its second straight win to improve to 3-7 this season. Glendale led 35-23 at halftime but a furious rally by the visiting Roadrunners closed the gap to 37-35 as both teams battled for advantage over the last 20 minutes of the game. Joel Finney led Glendale with 18 points and he and Brooklin Sharpe led the team with six rebounds each and Sharpe also had six assists and 12 points.
On Sunday Dec. 8. The Vaqs beat Rio Hondo 84-81 in a consolation bracket game of the Antelope Valley Tournament. Christian Finney led the win with 23 points and Jayden Couch added 10 points and 6 assists. Andre Scott and Finney each had seven rebounds in the win.
Glendale play next at El Camino College Wednesday Dec. 18 at 5 pm.
