Glendale Men's Soccer wins second straight game, 3-2 over Pasadena; Daniel Meza Gonzalez notches two goals

Only three games into the 2021 Men's Soccer season, the GCC Men's Team took a hard look at themselves and found a way to erase some past demons and win a game at the same time.

Ahead 2-0 late in the second half, the Vaqs surrendered two late second half goals to visiting Pasadena City College to see their lead and potentially their spirit evaporate. But the 2021 Vaqueros, led by sophomore Daniel Meza-Gonzalez who had two first half goals, might have turned the corner and found some much needed resiliency when Jafet Perez assisted on a goal by Danny Martinez to give Glendale a 3-2 win over the visiting Lancers to improve to 2-1 this season while Pasadena fell to 1-3.

Glendale plays at Los Angeles City College Friday Sept. 10 at 6 pm and at Santa Barbara City College Tuesday Sept. 14 at 7 pm. They return home to host Compton College Friday Sept. 17 at 5 pm at Sartoris Field
