In a non-conference game on a cool night Oct. 5 at Sartoris Field, the Glendale College Men's Soccer Team showed its best self, the self that it struggles with and the self that found its silver lining in a familiar outcome against visiting Allan Hancock College.

For the third straight game, the Vaqueros battled to a tie, this time 3-3 against the visiting Bulldogs in a game where GCC led 2-0 early in the contest after first half goals by Diego Ortega and Danny Martinez. That lead shrunk to 2-1 at halftime with Hancock battling through the Glendale defense to get the score.

The fifth goal of the season by sophomore David Meza-Gonzalez made it 3-1 GCC in the second half before Hancock scored twice to secure the tie. Glendale is now 2-4-4 on the year while Hancock is now 1-7-2.

Glendale concludes non-conference play Friday Oct. 8 at Moorpark College at 6 pm and start Western State Conference play Tuesday Oct. 12 at home against Antelope Valley College.
