The surging GCC Men's Soccer team improved to 4-0 with a 3-2 win at Los Angeles City College Friday Sept. 8. The Vaqs trailed 1-0 at halftime and then outscored the home squad 3-1 in the second half to run their goal total to 11 in the second half through four games this season.
Monte Almasi scored at the 65:09 mark on an assist by Derik Stepanians to tie the game at 1-1 and then Stepanians scored a few minutes later on an assist by Matteo Grasso that tied the game at 2-2 after a score by LACC. Marlon Sanchez then scored the game winner at the 86:09 mark on an assist by Malkoon Malkoon. Goalie Tigran Malumyan had eight saves to help preserve the victory.
GCC has two games at home this week, Tuesday Sept. 12 against Pasadena City College at 7:30 pm and Friday Sept. 15 against Allan Hancock College at 7:00 pm
