In a hard-fought game bolstered by a home crowd cheering on both teams at Sartoris Field, the GCC Men's Soccer team and rival Pasadena City College battled for 90 minutes to a 2-2 tie Sept. 12. Glendale remains unbeaten at 4-0-1 this season.
Derik Stepanians scored his fourth goal of the season on an assist by J.P. Crispi at the 18:54 mark of the first half to give Glendale a 1-0 lead but PCC tied the game at the 28:27 mark on a goal by Emiliano Escobar for a 1-1 tied score at halftime. GCC took a 2-1 lead on a goal by Matteo Grasso assisted by Monte Almasi before a late rally by PCC resulted in a goal by Omar Rojas assisted by Jorge Cedilio at the 85:38 mark for the final 2-2 score.
Glendale hosts Allan Hancock College at 7 pm on Friday Sept. 15.
