After almost two weeks on the sidelines due to weather issues, the GCC Women's Softball team scored three runs in the first inning on its way to a 4-1 win over East L.A. College in a road win Feb. 13. The Lady Vaqs are now 3-3 this season
Torii Forsberg had two doubles and two RBI to pace the GCC offense including run scoring hits in the first and second inning to give Glendale the early lead at 4-0. Savannah Alvarez also had two hits and Mya Chacon and Lilly Brito each had doubles. Forsberg also pitched seven strong innings to earn her second win and allowed just four hits.
GCC hosts Moorpark College in a doubleheader Thursday Feb. 15 at the Glendale Sports Complex with games at noon and 2 pm and play Compton at home Saturday Feb. 17 at 11 am and play Victor Valley at 3 pm.
