The scene was electric on the sideline for the GCC Women's Soccer Team on Tuesday Sept. 12. The resulting 2-0 victory over Los Angeles City College saw players celebrating and coaches high fiving as they broke a winless streak that has lasted several years for the program.
Now 1-2 this season, Glendale also scored their first two goals in 2023 as Gianna Mor scored unassisted in the first half for a 1-0 lead and Lulu Deranja capped off the scoring in the second half on a pass by Ashley Duong. Goal keeper Ashley Messier had six saves on the day.
GCC's next game is Tuesday September 19 at home against Oxnard College at 5 pm.
