The GCC women's Volleyball team started the 2023 season by splitting a pair of matches at Cuesta College Friday Aug. 25, beating Reedley College 3-0 at 25-13, 27-25, 25-22 before falling to host Cuesta College at 3-0, 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.
In the win over Reedley, Poet Crum led the Lady Vaqs with 10 kills and also had four service aces. Sofia Gregorio had eight kills, five digs and four service aces and Jadyn Dedeaux had six kills and five digs. Caitlyn Mendoza added nine assists and Keala Bush had eight assists.
Glendale plays at Saddleback Wednesday Aug. 30 at 6 pm and hosts East Los Angeles College Thursday Aug. 31 at 6 pm in the Verdugo Gym.
