GCC Women's Cross-Country Team takes third in Southern California Championships; Qualify for State Meet Nov. 20 in Fresno

The Lady Vaqueros competed at the Southern California Championships this past Friday at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley. The women took 3rd place scoring a total 132 points. Annika Anderson was again the first Glendale runner to cross the finish line in 6th place with a time of 18:52. Destiny Lopez took 12th place in a time of 19:13 and 34th place finisher Karla Sanchez came across in a time of 20:08. Rounding out the top five scoring runners was Aleksandra Martinez (20:12) who took 36th place and Maria Martinez (20:46) who took 56th place. The final two runners to compete for the women was Xinix Perla (22:30) and Jordan Guzman (22:30), taking 84th and 85th place, respectively.
