Glendale College Women's Cross-Country Team finishes 2021 season with 6th place finish in State Meet

The women's cross-country teams concluded their season this past weekend at the CCCAA State Championships. After not having a season in 2020, being able to get back into a normal year was an accomplishment. The women finished as the 6th best program in the state, with All-American Annika Anderson leading the way with a 13th place individual finish in a time of 19:02. Destiny Lopez took 42nd place in a time of 20:01, followed by 51st place finisher Aleksandra Martinez (20:13). Karla Sanchez (20:33) took 60th place and fighting her way into the team's top five after an injury plagued season was Jordan Guzman (20:48). The final Glendale runners to cross the finish line were Maria Martinez (21:05) and Xinix Perla (23:58).
