Striving for improvement, the GCC Women's Soccer team kept the game close early at Citrus College Friday Oct. 6 that was ultimately a 5-1 loss to in a Western State Conference match at Sartoris Field. Glendale is now 1-7-1 overall and 0-4 in WSC play.
The Lady Vaqs trailed the 2-0 at halftime and cut the lead to 2-1 in the second half when Gianna Mor scored at the 62:37 mark early in the second 45 minute stanza. Despite allowing five goals scored, goalie Ashley Messier had 8 saves and continued her outstanding play this season.
GCC continues WSC play Tuesday Oct. 10 at home against Bakersfield College at 4 pm at Sartoris Field. They play at West L.A. College Friday Oct. 13 at 4 pm.
