Troy Viola has three hits, three RBI in 6-3 win over Citrus

GCC inched closet to the 2018 WSC East Title with a 6-3 win over Citrus College. Glendale holds a one game lead over Canyons at 15-3 with two regular season games to play and is 26-12 overall.

Sophomore Troy Viola came up big for the Vaqs with three hits and three RBI including a run scoring single and a two run homer. Thad Wilson, Tom Tabak and Jake Selco each had two hits and Lucas Sakay had a two run homer.

Starting pitcher Chris Davidson earned the win to improve to 7-1. He struck out seven and allowed five hits over seven string hits. Felix Rubi got the save with a scoreless eighth and ninth and struck out four.

Glendale hosts Citrus Thursday in the regular season home finale at 2:30 pm at Stengel Field.
