Aaron Trelaor paces GCC Baseball with three homers in 7-2 win over Mt. SAC
The Aaron's, Aaron Trelaor and Aaron Suval made Stengel Field their playground Saturday in a battle of two of the top teams in Southern California as the GCC Baseball Team got the best of Mt. SAC 7-2 for its sixth straight win to improve to 9-2 this season. Glendale is ranked No. 6 in the CCCBCA pre-season poll and Mt. SAC is No. 8 and suffered its first loss of the season Saturday.
Aaron Trelaor had four hits in four at bats and hit homers in the second, fifth and sixth inning and also drove in four runs and scored three times. Alex Mills also hit a two-run homer for GCC and Casey Slattery added a double and scored twice and pinch hitter Sammy Martinez singled home a run. Starting pitcher Suval got the win Saturday allowing just three hits and striking out eight in his six innings of work.
Glendale hits the road Tuesday Feb. 18 at San Diego Mesa at 2 pm and hosts Golden West College Friday Feb. 21 at 2 pm at Stengel Field and plays at Golden West Saturday Feb. 22 at 1 pm.
