Congratulations to 2019-2020 Glendale Community College Baseball Team that was recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association with their Team Academic Excellence Award. This group of 36 student-athletes carried a cumulative GPA of 3.3 from the Fall through the Spring completing a total of 1,172 total units. Eight student-athletes from this team earned All-State Academic honors with GPA's over 3.5 and GCC was one of just five teams in California and 26 throughout the nation for the ABCA award.
The American Baseball Coaches Association has a long tradition of recognizing the achievements of baseball coaches and student-athletes. The ABCA/Rawlings All-America Teams are the nation's oldest, founded in 1949, and the ABCA's awards program also includes the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Awards, the ABCA/Diamond Sports Regional & National Coaches of the Year and several other major awards such as the ABCA Hall of Fame and Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
