Ethan Pena hit three-run walk off homer to give GCC Baseball a 12-9 win in 10 innings over Santa Barbara March 26
The GCC Baseball Team improved to 17-10 after Ethan Pena hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Glendale a 12-9 win over Santa Barbara in the second game of a double header March 26 at Stengel Field. Santa Barbara won the first game 5-0.
 
Pena had three hits in the game and drove in five and his two-run double in the first inning gave GCC a quick 2-0 lead. Glendale had 14 hits in the game as Alex Dolan had three hits,  Kai Moran had two hits including a double as did Pena and Gabe Juarez, Pena, Jaden Rez and Izzy Madariaga all homered. Shane Alderete started for GCC and pitched five innings and David Vergera, Joseph Perez, Matt Tamura and Geo Hernandez got the pitching win.
 
Glendale hist the road for two of three games in WSC play next week at Bakersfield College Tuesday April 2 at 2:30 pm, at home Thursday April 4 at 2:30 pm at Stengel Field and at Bakersfield Saturday April 6 at 3 pm.
