GCC Baseball gets back on track with 17-1 win over L.A. Mission College April 9
The GCC Baseball Team improved to 18-13 overall and 8-5 in WSC South play with a 17-1 win over L.A. Mission College April 9 at Stengel Field. Glendale pounded out 16 hits in the win.
 
Starting pitcher Joe Estrada improved to 4-1 with the win and allowed just three hits and struck out four in his six innings on the mound. Juan Rodriguez and Paul Xenophontas pitted in relief for GCC. Ethan Pena paced the offense with four hits, three RBI and two runs scored and hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning. Andrew Cisneros added three hits and three RBI including a double and Ethan Kearney had two hits and four RBI including a two-run triple in the fourth inning.
 
Glendale plays at L.A. Mission Thursday April 11 at 2:30 pm and concludes the series Friday April 12 with a 2:30 pm home game at Stengel Field.
