The GCC Baseball Team ran the gamut of results in a three-game series against Chaffey College, falling to Chaffey College 5-4 Tuesday Feb. 4, won 7-4 at home Feb. 5 and tied 3-3 Feb. 6 in a game that was called after nine innings because of darkness. Glendale is now 4-3-1 this season.

 

In the 7-4 home win on Feb. 5 at Stengel Field, Andrew Garcia paced the offense with three hits including a double and a home run. Alex Dolan also had two hits including a homer and Max Price and Jordan Viramontes also homered. Starting pitcher John Trainor pitched three innings and struck out five to get the win and Jameson Johnstone, Jorge Martinez, Nate Flores and Luis Fernandez also took the mound with Fernandez getting the save .

 

GCC plays four games next week, Tuesday at Saddleback College at 2 pm and then faces Los Angeles Pierce College in a three-game series, Thursday Feb. 13 on the road at 2 pm, Friday Feb. 14 at home at Stengel Field at 2 pm and then at Pierce again on Saturday Feb. 15 at 1 pm.
