The start of the 2025 conference season has given the GCC Baseball Team a jump start on the competition as the Vaqs completed a sweep in the three-game series over College of the Canyons with wins on March 7, 8-3, and 8-5 on Match 8. They started the series with an 18-4 victory Tuesday March 4. Glendale is tied for first place in the WSC South at 3-0 and is 11-8-1 overall.

 

In the 8-5-win March 8, Max Price and Andrew Garcia each had three hits including doubles and Jordan Viramontes and Jake Price had two hits each and Alex Dolan added a double for GCC. Nate Flores earned the win in relief of starter Maximo Newhart and Diego Barajas got the save after four innings on the mound and stuck out five.

 

Weather permitting this week, Glendale is slated to play at L. A. Valley College Tuesday March 11 at 2 pm, host Valley at 2 pm Thursday March 13 at Stengel Field and conclude the three-game series at Valley Friday March 14 at 2 pm.
