After dropping two non-conference games last week, the GCC Baseball Team got back to it's winning way with a 6-1 win over visiting Antelope Valley College March 25 at Stengel Field. The win extended the WSC South lead to two games over the Marauders for Glendale, now 7-0 in conference play and 15-10-1 overall.
Starting pitcher John Trainor improved to 6-0 with the win and struck out three in his five innings of work and Juan Rodriguez got the save and struck out six in his four innings. Glendale took the advantage early with a 3-0 lead in the first inning as Jake Price, David Lozano and Jordan Viramontes all had two hits each and Alex Dolan and Ethan Munoz each hit doubles.
Glendale continues the three-game series against Antelope Valley playing on the Marauders home Field Thursday March 27 at 2 pm and return home to play them on Saturday March 29 at 1 pm.
