GCC Baseball continues dominance of WSC South with three-game sweep over West L.A. last week for 12th straight conference win and 20 victory of the season
The offensive prowess of the GCC Baseball Team in conference play continued with three wins over West L.A. College last week, 14-2 April 1, 13-0 April 3 and 15-3 April 5. Glendale scored 43 runs on 46 hits in the three-game sweep to run its win streak in the WSC South to 12 games at 12-0 and are 20-10-1 overall and are ranked No. 8 in Southern California in the CCCBCA Poll.
 
In the 15-3 win over WLAC April, Liam Thatcher got the complete game win and scattered 10 hits and struck out three over nine innings. Jake Price led the 14-hit attack with three hits and four RBI including a run scoring double. Alex Dolan, Daniel Ruiz, Max Price, Ethan Pena and Jackson Lyons all had two hits each and Max Price and Ruiz had doubles.
 
GCC continues WSC South play this week against second place Bakersfield College Tuesday April 8 at home at 2 pm, Thursday April 10 at Bakersfield at 2 pm and Saturday April 12 at 1 pm. All home games are played at Stengel Field.
