Rick Marino returns to Glendale College after 13 years working as an Assistant Pitching Coach at L.A. Valley College. He played for former GCC Head Coach Steven Coots on the WSC Championships team in 1980 and later worked as part of the GCC Baseball Coaching Staff from 2003-08 as an Assistant Pitching Coach. He graduated from Glendale High School in 1977 where he was a varsity baseball teammate of Vaqs announcer Spiro Psaltis. Rick earned an AA degree from GCC in 1999 and a BS in Kinesiology from the University of La Verne in 2001. He has served as an Associate Scout for the Cincinatti Reds for several years and has been the pitching coach for the Ventura County Pirates for the past five summers.
