He was not part of the West Los Angeles College game plan but Glendale College linebacker Charlie Stewart spent plenty of time in the Wildcats backfield Saturday Sept. 30 in the Vaqueros 37-29 non-league road win.

 

Stewart had four sacks, five tackles and one forced fumble as GCC forced six turnovers from the home team and Chuck Shull led the team in tackles with seven. Offensively, Adrian Lopez passed for 153 yards and three touchdowns, all three scores hauled in by receiver Jahrique Lowe who had 129 yards in receptions catching four balls. Running back George Spiropoulos had 93 combined yards, 51 on the ground and 42 yards receiving for 93 yards of total offense. 

 

Now 3-2, GCC has a bye this week and opens up Pacific League play Thursday Oct. 12 against Pierce College at 7 pm at Sartoris Field.
