GCC Football wins fourth straight game, 31-18 at l.A. Valley College Oct. 21; Now 5-2 overall and 2-0 in league
The GCC Football team won its fourth straight game in a 31-18 wire to wire victory Saturday Oct. 21 at Los Angeles Valley College. The Vaqs are now 2-0 in Pacific League play and 5-2 overall. Glendale had 354 yards of total offense and averaged 6,7 yards per play on the ground and in the air.
 
Quarterback Dylan Hassid passed for 248 yards and rushed for 25 yards for 273 yards of total offense and accounted for four touchdowns, two in the air and two on the ground. He was 13 of 22 in the game against the Monarchs and had one interception. Jahrique Lowe caught two passes for 139 and one score, an 80-yard run and catch and Slade Schaefer caught two passes for 38 yards and one touchdown and George Spiropoulos led the ground game with 74 yards on 11 rushes. Chuck Shull, Douglas Williams and Matthew Watson all intercepted passes to pace the GCC defense and Kayden Williams and Toriano King had six tackles each.
 
Glendale will play is final home game of the year Saturday Oct. 28 at 1 pm at Sartoris Field against Santa Monica College where the GCC sophomores will be honored before the game.
