GCC Men's Basketball team beats Santa Ana College 77-73 Nov. 4
Less than two days after suffering a 21-point defeat to Santiago College, the GCC Men's Basketball team rebounded in solid fashion, turning a first half deficit into a 77-73 win over Santa Ana College Nov, 4. Now 1-1, the Vaqs trailed 38-31 at the half before out scoring the home team by 11 points in the second half to secure the win.
 
Guard Tyson Jackson led Glendale with 16 points and three assists as four Vaqs scored in double figures. Powell Mousaian added 16 points and six boards, Karson Peffer had 12 points Elijah Groves had 10 points and a game high 12 rebounds and Dahnte Russell had four assists. 
 
"We ran our offense much better in the second half which resulted in a 19-2 run and rebounded the ball much better as well,'' said GCC Head Coach Vigen Jilizian.
 
Glendale competes in the Mt. San Antonio College Tournament Nov. 9 and 11th and opens up with a 7 pm game Nov. 8 against host school Mt. SAC.
