GCC MBB improves to 4-2 in WSC South play with narrow 65-64 win over College of the Canyons Jan. 27
In a game that was tied 11 times and had the same amount of lead changes, the GCC Men's Basketball team took the lead for good on one made free throw by Braxton Williams with 6.8 seconds left to beat visiting College of the Canyon 65-64 Saturday Jan. 27 in the Verdugo Gym. The Vaqs tied the game at 64 all with 1:21 left on two free throws by Powell Mousaian to set up the exciting finish.
 
Tyson Jackson led Glendale in scoring with 19 points and added five rebounds and three assists while Williams had 16 points and nine boards. Elijah Groves had 12 points and nine boards and Moussian had 11 points and six rebounds. Dahnte Russell had a game high five assists.
 
Glendale continues WSC play this week on the road at Antelope Valley College at 5 pm Jan. 31 and at Santa Monica College Saturday Feb. 3 at 1 pm.
