GCC Men's Soccer beats Citrus 4-0 Nov. 8 but drops two in WSC play; now 3-4 in conference and 5-11-2 overall.
In a season that has been challenging and at times frustrating, the GCC Men's Soccer Team played possibly its most complete game of the year to beat Citrus College 4-0 Nov. 8. They also fell to College of the Canyons 2-0 Nov. 5 and fell to Santa Monica College 4-1 in a make-up game Nov. 10. Glendale is now 3-4 in WSC play and  5-11-2 overall.
 
Matteo Grasso scored two first half goals in the win over Citrus and was assisted on the first score by Kevin Anjunyan and the third goal of the game was assisted by Erik Gharibian. A goal by Alex Kolzsuzyan made it 2-0 and his score was assisted by Anjunyan and the fourth goal of the game was scored by Mak Hadziosmanovic on an assist by Grasso to make the score 4-0. Goalie Arvin Navasartian had 10 saves for the Vaqs and Nicolas Hedges faced no shot attempts in his time at the goal. Yony Chojolan had the lone goal for GCC against Santa Monica with Hedges getting 12 saves and  Navasartian turned away six shots.
 
In the final games of the regular season, Glendale hosts Antelope Valley College at 5:30 pm Tuesday Nov. 12 where its sophomores will be honored and play at Bakersfield College Friday Nov. 15 at 3 pm.
