Spencer Geck: Transfer Spotlight

"Spencer let his running do his talking! He was money in the post season in cross country and track and field. He would have been hard to beat this season in the steeplechase, at the state track and field championships.'' Those words coming from head coach Eddie Lopez aptly describe Spencer who earned All-American honors for GCC in cross country in the fall after helping lead the team to its two straight WSC team titles in 2018-19. He was also considered a favorite in the 3000 meter steeplechase at state before the season was cut short after finishing sixth last year as a freshman. He has committed to run for UC Santa Barbara in the fall in both sports.
