In a matchup of two of the highest ranked teams in Southern California, the Glendale Community College Women's Basketball Team beat visiting Moorpark College 65-60 Friday in the Verdugo Gym to win its third straight game to improve to 7-2 this season. Moorpark fell to 5-2.

Before Friday's game, Moorpark was ranked No. 3 in the California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association Southern California Poll dated Dec. 6 and Glendale was ranked No. 9. Moorpark was ranked No. 6 in the state and Glendale was No. 19 in the same poll.
