The GCC Women's Basketball Team has found the road to its liking recently as they won its fourth straight game and third straight on the road, 56-52 Wednesday Jan. 11 against Los Angeles Valley College on the Monarchs home floor. Glendale is now 3-0 in the WSC South and 13-4 overall and is in first place in conference play by one game.

The Lady Vaqs led 30-26 at halftime and extended that lead to 46-34 in the third after outscoring Valley 16-8 in the third quarter. Guard Maile Yamada paced GCC with 15 points including four 3-pointers and also had six rebounds and three assists. Faith Boulanger had 13 points, six rebounds and three assists and Jesni Cooper had 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Glendale continues WSC South play Saturday Jan. 14 at Bakersfield College at 3 pm.
