Malia Ulery led GCC with 23 points in 77-51 over College of the Canyons Jan. 27 to improved to 6-0 in WSC South and 18-2 overall.
Displaying a confidence that showed from the opening tip, the GCC women's Basketball Team raced out to a 40-25 halftime lead and cruised to a 77-53 win over visiting College of the Canyons Saturday Jan. 27 in the Verdugo Gym. The win was the 13th straight for the Lady Vaqs and maintained their one game lead in the WSC South at 6-0 and are 18-2 overall. 
 
Ranked No. 5 in Southern California and No. 7 in the state, freshman guard Malia Ulery had a game high 23 points for Glendale as well as six assists and five rebounds. Patil Yaacoubian had 12 points off the bench as well as five rebounds and four steals. Osanna Tirityan led GCC in rebounds with eight and added seven points and Paola Gorgiez and Evelyn Birau had eight points each as well as five rebounds each for both players.
 
Glendale hits the road this week for a pair of WSC games, Wednesday Jan. 31 at Antelope Valley College at 7 pm and Saturday Feb. 3 at Santa Monica at 3 pm.
