With five games left on the GCC Women's Basketball WSC South conference schedule, the Lady Vaqs continue to be the team to beat as they showed in a 64-42 win over visiting West L.A. College. They led 33-13 at halftime and never trailed as they scored 20 points off of turnovers and led in bench scoring 21-2.
Evelyn Birau led Glendale in scoring with 15 points and Paola Gorgeiz added 11 to pace the starters and Cherilyn Legaspi added 10 points off the bench and was four of four from the field. Osanna Tirityan and Malia Ulery led GCC with seven rebounds each and Patil Yaacolubian led the team in assists with five off the bench.
Glendale continues conference play this week with a road game at L.A. Valley College Saturday Feb. 10 at 5 pm.
