Title: Assistant Coach
Vicky Oganyan is in her first year on the Glendale College Women’s basketball coaching staff after being hired in August of 2016.  Oganyan is concurrently the head girls’ basketball coach at John Burroughs High School where she enters her 13th year. As the head coach of the John Burroughs Indians, Oganyan has led the program to 5 Pacific League titles, Back to Back CIF Semifinal appearances in Division 1A, and numerous school records.  She also teaches Biology/Anatomy at the high school.
Prior to being a head coach at Burroughs High, Oganyan spent 2 years as JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at Glendale High School and 5 years as Head JV coach and Varsity Assistant at Valencia High School, all under her high school coach Jerry Mike. 
Oganyan earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Science in 2002 and obtained a Master’s in Education with an emphasis on instruction and curriculum in 2008 both from Cal State Northridge.  She attended Glendale High School and was an All-League/All Area guard for the Nitros.
