A pair of 2-1 losses to Bakersfield College on Oct. 15 and to West Los Angeles College Oct. 18 did not do much for the GCC Women's Soccer Team in the standings but the program can take some solace in the fact that the Lady Vaqs played hard and did not ease up until the final whistle sounded ending the games.
Michelle Saris scored at the 79:35 mark of the second half on an assist by Gianna Mor in the Bakersfield and goalies Ainsley Stephenson and Liliana Reynoso had one save each. Against WLAC, Audrey Banuelos scored on an assist by Angie Garcia and Reynoso had six saves and Stephenson had four stops.
Glendale plays at Citrus College Tuesday Oct. 22 at 6:30 pm and hosts College of the Canyons Friday Oct. 25 at 4 pm at Sartoris Field.
