GCC Women's Volleyball beats L.A. Harbor in four games Sept. 20

Searching for consistency, the GCC Women's Volleyball team struggled to find a positive rhythm Wednesday Sept. 20 against visiting Los Angeles Harbor College in he Verdugo Gym. 

After winning the first game 25-20, the Lady Vaqs dropped a tough second game decision 26-24 in the second game before recovering to win the third game 25-22 thanks to four big hits and the eventual winning kill by Jayden Dedeaux. Dedeaux, Jazlyn Bradley and Kelaiyah Johnston controlled the net all night for the Lady Vaqs and Vanya Arakelian had 15 straight service winners in the fourth game including an ace to give GCC a 22-4 lead on the way to a 25-8 win to win the match three games to one and improve its record to 4-7.

Jayden Dedeaux and  Symiah Rodriguez had 13 kills each for GCC, Keala Bush had 32 assists and Vanya Arakelian had six service aces.

Glendale plays next Friday Sept. 22 at L.A Pierc4 at 6 pm.
