The GCC Women's Volleyball Team started the 2024 conference season with consecutive losses to Santa Monica 3-0 Oct. 2, 25-15, 25-8 and 2514 and fell to College of the Canyons 3-0 Oct. 4, 25-15, 25-16, 25-12. They are now 3-10 overall and 0-2 in WSC play.
Kelaiyah Johnson led the team with four kills against Santa Monica and Karina Biel had eight digs and three kills and Poet Crum had two service aces. Against Canyons, Poet Crum had six kills and Houri Galoustian and Sarai Ochoa had three kills each and Karina Biel had eight digs.
Glendale had a bye Wednesday Oct. 9 and hosts Santa Monica Friday Oct. 11 at 6 pm in the Verdugo Gym.
