The GCC Women's Volleyball celebrated the Dig Pink Foundation and Breast Cancer Awareness in a home conference game Wednesday Oct. 30 against College of the Canyons but could not overcome the visiting Cougars and fell 3-0, 25-22, 25-18, 25-16. The Lady Vaqs are now 3-5 in WSC play and 6-13 overall.
Sarai Ochoa led the GCC offense with six kills and three service aces and Poet Crum added five kills. Karina Biel had 13 digs, Shiho Uchida had 10 assists and Journey Blueford had two blocks and two assisted blocks.
Glendale plays at West L.A. College Wednesday Nov. 6 and at Bakersfield College Friday Nov. 8 in WSC m. Both games are at 6 pm.
