GCC women's Cross Country easily wins race in WSC Preview Meet

The Vaqueros competed in the Western State Conference Preview race, which would give them a glimpse into who their competition would be for the Conference Championship race on October 22. The women easily took 1st place scoring a total of 30 points, well ahead of College of the Canyons' 77 points. They were led by 3rd place finisher Annika Anderson (19:53) and was immediately followed by Destiny Lopez (20:01) who took 4th place. Aleksandra Martinez (20:35) took 8th place with her sister Maria Martinez (20:36) coming in 9th place. Rounding out the top five scoring runners was Karla Sanchez (20:53) who came in at 12th place. Also coming across the finish line was Xinix Perla (23:55) and Vanessa Portillo (34:44).
