Molly Mercer has been part of the Glendale College Family since 2014 when she started as our Academic Counselor for Student Athletes. She enjoys working with Student Athletes at Glendale College where she has the unique privilege and opportunity to work with students from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. Molly also serves as our Assistant Athletic Director at GCC where she enjoys helping our student-athletes navigate college athletics and assists them in achieving their goals of transferring and continuing to compete after GCC. Prior to joining the Vaqueros, Molly worked at Mt. San Antonio College for four years as a counselor working with student-athletes.

 

Molly received her AA degree from Mt. SAC where she played two seasons of softball for the Mounties. She was an All-American pitcher, and won a state championship for Mt. SAC. She transferred to Cal Lutheran to continue competing in softball. Molly graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in History from California State University Northridge (CSUN), and her Master of Science Degree in Counseling from CSUN.

She currently serves as the Secretary of the 3C4A (California Community College Counselors/Advisors Academic Association for Athletics) where she can advocate for our student athletes at the CCCAA and NCAA levels. She currently resides in La Crescenta and in her spare time you can find her attending GCC athletic games, playing softball, or hiking with her dogs.
